Marshall Field House, a Georgian mansion, is the center for the Music Program. The building's drawing room is used for lectures, Master Classes, ensemble performances and student recitals. There are eleven performance and instruction studios, each complete with audio and recording equipment, that are open to students (from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.) for practicing before and after teaching faculty are at the College. Seven private practice studios (equipped with computers and acoustic and electronic pianos) - a chamber music studio, a percussion studio, a computer room, three practice studios- as well as an instrument lock-up room are available to the students at all times when Marshall Field is open. There is an Electronic Music Studio with state-of-the-art synthesizers, computers, and MIDI gear. There are also 14 Steinway grands and three harpsichords.

The William Schuman Music Library, with its extensive sound recording collection, has twelve fully equipped listening and computer and study stations (CD players, cassette players, turntables, VCRs, DVD players, Mac & PC). Reisinger Concert Hall, a 400-seat auditorium, has a nine foot concert Hamburg Steinway and a seven foot concert Steinway and is used for larger events, choral and orchestra concerts (including an annual student concerto evening), as well as performances by faculty and visiting artists.
