Post Office
The Post Office is located on the street level of Bates Hall, opposite the Ilchman Science Center. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. A box with a combination lock is supplied to each student. (Different boxes are assigned each year.) This mailbox will be used for all academic correspondence, including evaluations, library notifications, memos, and other official correspondence.
Incoming mail is sorted and distributed during the course of the day, Monday through Friday. It is suggested that you pick up your mail daily. Outgoing mail leaves on weekdays at 3:30 p.m. from the Post Office and from a box in the main hall of Westlands at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Mail designated for someone on campus may be left at the Post Office in the slot designated “campus mail” or dropped in the box designated for unstamped mail near Westlands Desk. Campus mail is distributed along with incoming mail. Express Mail may be sent from the Post Office during the day.When packages or Express Mail items arrive, the student is notified via e-mail. It is the student’s responsibility to pick up Express Mail or packages during normal Post Office hours. If the item is delivered after normal Post Office hours, the Westlands Desk attendant will accept it and notify the student for pick-up. Students receiving telegrams are notified by telephone.Telegrams may be called for at Westlands Desk and may be sent from any pay phone.
Parcels may be sent from the Post Office and should be no larger than 23" wide.
