Mission
The Office of Career Counseling offers a broad range of career services that empower students to explore, define, and realize their career goals. Our office is a student-centered support service: we offer one-on-one counseling appointments, consultations throughout the career planning process, and assistance with goal-setting and goal achievement through a variety of career exploration activities. Our goal is to provide lifetime tools and skills for professional development, job search success, and career satisfaction.
Staff
Angela Cherubini, Director
Angela provides career counseling to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumnae/i. She provides career advisement related to internship and job search, as well as tips on networking, interviewing, and applying to graduate and professional schools. Her passion is to help students and alumnae/i discover their own passions and find a career that complements their personality, interests, and values.
Anne Marie Damiani, Associate Director
Anne Marie provides career counseling to students and alumnae/i in all stages of the career development process. She finds it rewarding to assist students in clarifying their interests, strengths, and goals and discovering new career and internship opportunities. She advocates for people to follow their heart and find meaningful work. Anne Marie is also a firm believer of Confucius’ saying, “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Katherine Bradshaw, Career and Internship Coordinator
Katherine is the first person you will see when you come in to the Office of Career Counseling. She oversees CareerLink, SLC’s online internship and job database, and can answer questions about navigating and utilizing the site. Katherine has her M.S. degree in Guidance and Counseling and has worked in corporate human resources, recruiting, and career counseling prior to joining the OCC. She believes interning is an important component to academic pursuits and works towards building an Internship Program that reflects the varied interests of SLC students.
Career Assistants
Our Career Assistants are current SLC students and graduate students who assist the Office in scheduling appointments, marketing programs, researching internship and job opportunities, and answering questions.
