"Simply put, the rooms in Andrews House are huge. As for location, Andrews is located at the perfect spot for half your classes and late night munchies. Thirty seconds from The Pub, Reisinger, PAC, the Library. Two minutes from Heimbold, Westlands, Mead Way, Marshall Fields, etc. Plus, there are several classrooms on the first floor as well as offices so you might even just get to roll out of bed at 9:29 and make it to your class early! 

The best part of Andrews is the back yard. Yep, your own personal back yard that is mostly empty and silent. Activities that have occurred here include house-wide snowball fights, picnicking, and late night pow-wows with marshmallows being roasted over tea lights."

At the southernmost tip of the SLC campus, Hill House rises seven stories over... the bottom of the hill. A pre-war apartment complex, Hill House retains some of its original charm--and tenants. Each apartment has at least one bathroom and a shared kitchen, but some sport another bathroom and a shared common room as well. In Summer 2005, the college began renovating the bathrooms in many of the apartments, so some of them have all-new toilets, sinks, tubs and tiling. The living experience at Hill House is definitely one of the most spacious and comfortable available on campus.

"Westlands is seriously awesome housing. The bottom floor is administration and classroom space, the second floor is more administration and the International Programs office, and the third floor is where the Westies make their homes. The doubles are on the small side, but comfortable. The triples range in size from generous to ginormous.

Westlands is a co-ed hall, and does not have a common room, a kitchen or a courtyard. However, what it lacks in amenities, it makes up for in LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. From your room, you either have a great view of the North Lawn or the South Lawn. It's close to most classroom spaces and very close to most performance spaces, which is awesome if you are a theater third or a dance third. Because the floor is co-ed and the rooms are huge, students' rooms tend to take precedence over outdoor areas or The Pub as the hang-out spots. "Westies" tend to be close-knit because of this.

All in all, if you end up in Westlands as a first-year student, you totally lucked out."
