The Equestrian team competes in the fall and the spring in Region I of the IHSA. Sarah Lawrence has built a tradition of success, qualifying for regional and zone competitions each year since the team's inception. The team trains at the nearby New Canaan Mounted Troop in New Canaan, Connecticut, and students need not own a horse. The College covers all entry fees and travel costs for the team. Each rider must pay his/her own lesson fees. However, team fundraising events greatly reduce these expenses. Riders of all levels of skill and experience are welcome on the collegiate circuit.
