Laura Mamelok
Laura works for Sarah Lawrence in Paris as an assistant in charge of cultural activities and excursions for the students in Paris. Half-French, half-American, Laura grew up in Scarsdale, New York, and attended Barnard College in New York City, majoring in Comparative Literature with French and English and working as a laboratory assistant for the French department.
Last year, she completed a Masters in French Cultural Studies at Columbia University in Paris. This year, apart from working at SLC in Paris, she is completing a Masters (DEA) in Comparative Literature at the University of Paris 7 and is working on representations of Paris and New York in literature and film.
Laura enjoys discovering new places in Paris and abroad, reading, going to the movies, and listening to music.
Erin Reeser
General assistant to the SLC program, Erin considers herself lucky to have spent three separate years studying abroad in France. In high school, she was a Rotary Exchange Student to a small town in Central France. In college, she spent her junior year in Paris. Finally, as a graduate student, she had her first experience working in a study abroad program in Paris.
Erin holds a bachelors degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in French, English and Western European Studies. She began doctoral studies at Emory University, but discovered her true love was study abroad and quickly relocated to Paris. When not exploring the secrets of the city, she can usually be found knitting.
