An Update from Parent Programs
Greetings from Parent Programs at Sarah Lawrence!
Parents make a difference in so many ways at Sarah Lawrence. We are thrilled to report that last fiscal year parents contributed over half a million dollars to the 2012 Parents Fund. Together with alumni, The Fund for Sarah Lawrence raised almost $3,400,000 in unrestricted dollars to be used by the administration for the College’s greatest needs.
SLC knows what a vital role you play in your child's education. It is your influence that guides them in decisions sometimes without them even realizing. For many of you, it may feel as if you're forced to take a step back during college and let your child figure out what they want to do. We know you're counting on Sarah Lawrence to allow your children to discover their passions and explore all different aspects of their education; together with you we transform them into mature and responsible thinkers.
We acknowledge the strain paying for college puts on one's family during these challenging economic times. Now, more than ever, students need the scholarship support that comes through the Parents Fund to receive a Sarah Lawrence education. There are many reasons to give to the Parents Fund, including supporting our committed and passionate faculty. Your support helps all students to learn, to grow, to transform.
In addition to participating in the Parents Fund, there are other ways for parents to get involved with Sarah Lawrence, including hosting receptions, acting as ambassadors, offering internships, and/or making phone calls on behalf of the College. Parents of Sarah Lawrence students are equally as creative and dynamic as their children, and we encourage you to bring that ingenuity to SLC.
Please consider giving to the Parents Fund today—your donation enables the gift of a Sarah Lawrence education.
Sincerely,
