An Update from Parents Programs
Hello from Parents Programs at Sarah Lawrence!
It's hard to believe but not only is second semester in full swing, but Spring Break is upon us. We wish your children enjoyable weeks, with an opportunity to refresh and recharge for the final months of the semester. To those of you with graduating seniors we wish early congratulations and look forward to seeing you at Commencement on May 24, 2013.
Parents are valued members of the SLC family, and we at Parent Programs are excited and proud to have you as a partner in your student's success. You play a crucial role in your student's college career and we are happy to work together, with you, to maximize your student's experience.
With economic times still uncertain, students continue to rely heavily on the scholarship support that comes through the Parents Fund. Thank you to all our parents who have contributed to the 2013 Parents Fund. Your support is integral in providing critical resources for all of our students and for our Princeton Review #1 ranked faculty. To date, parents have contributed over $400,000 to the Parents Fund and we are well on our way to reaching our May 31 goal. Thank you!
If you have not already made a donation please consider giving to the Parents Fund today. Every gift makes a difference by enabling our students to learn, to grow, to transform.
In addition to supporting the Parents Fund, there are several other ways for parents to become involved with Sarah Lawrence, including hosting receptions, acting as ambassadors, offering internships, and/or making cyber phonathon calls on behalf of the College. Parents of Sarah Lawrence students are equally as creative and dynamic as their children, and we encourage you to bring that ingenuity to SLC.
It is our goal to assist you in supporting the transition and academic success of your student. We serve as the communication link between the College and parents. We recognize that you know your student best and ask you to utilize Parent Programs as a resource when you have a question or concern.
Sincerely,
Jody Abzug
