Other Areas and Personal Data
Other areas commonly addressed on a résumé are knowledge or fluency in a foreign language, specific computer skills, publications, presentations, professional memberships, volunteer/community service and honors/awards. If applicable, some of this information can appear in the “Education” section, but you might want to create a special section for it.
It is unnecessary to include personal data such as birth date, age, health, marital status, race or religion on a résumé. However, personal information can be included when it has specific relevance to the job you are seeking. For example, height and weight could be included if you are applying for acting or dancing positions.
