Sarah Lawrence College and Bronxville Library celebrate National Poetry Month with "Planting Poetry II: On Legacy, History, and Community"

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Sarah Lawrence College and the Bronxville Public Library are partnering to present “Planting Poetry II: On Legacy, History, and Community” on Thursday, April 24 from 7-9 p.m. in the library's Yeager Room. The library is located at 201 Pondfield Road in Bronxville, NY. The program, which features Sarah Lawrence College students, graduates, faculty, staff, and members of the College’s Writing Institute reading their work, is the second annual poetry event sponsored by the Bronxville Library and the College. The theme was inspired by the Eastchester 350 Celebration. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Sarah Lawrence College is well known for its writing programs and its renowned faculty. Most recently, writing faculty member and poet Vijay Seshadri won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for poetry and two writing faculty members, Victoria Redel and Rachel Cohen, won Guggenheim Fellowships.
