The New York Times, Inside Higher Ed highlight SLC's efforts to develop students' critical abilities

In a February 27 letter to the editor of The New York Times, President Karen Lawrence highlights how SLC's newly created method of assessment works to ensure that students possess the critical abilities necessary for success upon graduation and beyond. In a February 12 article titled, "Rejecting the Standardized Test," Inside Higher Education took an in depth look at this unique evaluation system, noting that instead of administering a standard test to freshmen and seniors, SLC's system requires a new analysis of each student after each course by every faculty member.
