Second annual Undergraduate Post-Colonial and Development Studies Conference to be held on March 8

On Friday, March 8, from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. on campus, students from Bard College, Brown University, Columbia University, Haverford College, Lewis & Clark College, Macalester College, New York University, Vassar College, and Sarah Lawrence College will present original research relating to ideas of development and post-colonialism at the second annual Undergraduate Post-Colonial and Development Studies Conference. The event will begin with a presentation by Economics faculty member Jamee Moudud entitled, "Social Democracy and Labor Relations." The day will conclude with a keynote address by Mandana Limbert, associate professor of anthropology at CUNY-Queens and author of In the Time of Oil: Piety, Memory, and Social Life in an Omani Town.
