80th Commencement: May 22, 2009

Sarah Lawrence College held its 80th Commencement on Friday, May 22, 2009, under a tent in front of Westlands. A crowd of approximately 2,500 gathered to celebrate the class of 2009's 327 bachelor's candidates and 129 master's candidates, while several hundred others watched a live broadcast on the College's Web site. White House Chief of Staff and Sarah Lawrence alumnus Rahm Emanuel '81 delivered the keynote address to a standing ovation.
