- Dean Baker's "The Second Great Depression: How Dumb Can We Be?"
Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 5:15 pm
Titsworth Lecture Hall
Dean Baker will discuss why the vast majority of economists somehow could not see the growth of the $8 trillion housing bubble, the collapse of which eventually sank the economy. Even after the fact, they still don't understand what happened. As a result of confusion over basic economic logic, millions of people are likely to remain unemployed for years needlessly wasting trillions of dollars of potential economic output.
