ARCHIVED: Dean of Studies Allen Green adds Chief Diversity Officer title and responsibilities to his portfolio
President Karen Lawrence has named Allen Green as Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), with some modifications to his existing duties as Dean of Studies and Student Life to ensure adequate attention to his new responsibilities. As Chief Diversity Officer, Dean Green will coordinate the College’s diversity efforts across the institution, as well as work with the appropriate offices toward that end in the recruitment of faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, the CDO will work to ensure a welcoming environment for all members of the College community and will monitor the implementation of the College's diversity efforts as outlined in its Strategic Plan.
The CDO will be an ex-officio member of the newly-created Diversity Committee, and will interact with the Curriculum Committee, General Committee, and other standing committees as appropriate to advance the College's diversity efforts. The CDO will supervise the Office of Diversity and work with the College's alumni community to help further enhance the diversity of the college community.
