ARCHIVED: Elana Bell '99, MFA '08 receives Walt Whitman Award from Academy of American Poets
The Academy of American Poets has announced that Elana Bell '99, MFA '08 has been selected by distinguished poet Fanny Howe as the recipient of the 2011 Walt Whitman Award for her collection of poems Eyes, Stones, which will be published next spring. The award is given to honor and publish a poet's first book of original poetry.
