The New York Times profiles Peter Taft '94 and his search-and-rescue dog Cassius and the work they do, including search and rescues after the January earthquake in Haiti, in Sri Lanka following the 2004 tsunami, and in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. For his excellence as a live-find animal, the American Kennel Club just bestowed on Cassius its Humane Fund Award for Canine Excellence.
