ARCHIVED: Zoe Alexander '13 designs and produces first-ever plantable high-fashion coat in Biomimicry Project

Monday, May 17, 2010

In an independent project for environmental studies faculty member Charles Zerner's "Strategies of Visibility: Arts of Environmental Resistance and Creativity" class, first-year student Zoe Alexander designed and produced the first-ever plantable high-fashion coat in her Biomimicry Project. The project grew out of Alexander's desire to focus on how the aesthetic consumer industry of fashion may be made more sustainable. Learn more about the project at Zoe's site.
