One Moment in Time

Last fall, we sent an e-mail to alumnae/i asking for nature photos, and here are some of the results. Despite—or perhaps because of—our indoor, technological, highly processed way of life, the natural world still commands our imagination; it retains the power to inspire. And whether the photographer set out to make art or just to record an unexpected moment, the result is a document of the ineffable. That tree, that pond, that shadow will never look exactly the same again, but their photos will endure, specks of evidence in the churning tide of time and change.
