The swim team, the women's vollyeball team, and the Gryphon

Fall Sports

  1. Winners! The swim team successfully defended its title as Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference champions. Alex Brostoff '09, Vivian Charlesworth '09, and Rachel Schneider '10 were named to the all­-conference team, and Coach Jennifer Walker was, for the second time, named conference Coach of the Year. 
  2. Taking third place in the conference tournament, women's volleyball finished a strong season with a record of 12-4. Corinna Jay '07 and Aaron McMullin '09 were chosen for the all-conference team, and Coach Kristy Mackiewicz was named conference Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. 
  3. The SLC mascot was spotted at numerous athletic events last fall. Though the identity of the student beneath the beak and fur remains a mystery, the Gryphon's ability to rouse the crowds at home games has been confirmed by numerous eyewitnesses.
