Reunion 2007: Reconnect, Reunite
At Reunion 2007-June 1-3: A panoply of seminars and panels, a classy champagne jazz brunch, all your old SLC friends, and some new ones, too. Sounds like yet another exciting Reunion. But wait-there's more!
Looking back, looking forward. A panel discussion on the past, present, and future of Sarah Lawrence, featuring President Michele Myers, incoming president Karen Lawrence, outgoing Dean of the College Barbara Kaplan, and Dean Elect Pauline Watts. College Archivist Abby Lester will join the panel to shed some light on-or even debunk-some Sarah Lawrence myths.
On display. Admire the work of your fellow alums-and the new Heimbold Visual Arts Center-at the Alumnae/i Art Exhibit. (To display your art, please visit www.slc.edu/reunion/artshow for submission information.)
Campus tours. Visit your old stomping grounds-and maybe some new ones. The tours will explore the campus from the renovated Bates to the Campbell Sports Center, and everywhere in between. You also won't want to miss a visit to 45 Wrexham Road, the new home of CCE, Special Programs, and the Health Advocacy and Human Genetics graduate programs.
Honor your peers. At the Annual Meeting and Luncheon, you will elect the Alumnae/i Association board, satisfy the appetite you worked up on that campus tour, and applaud the winners of the Westlands Awards and Achievement and Service Citation honorees-all at once. This year's citation recipients are Beth I. Kalish-Weiss '55 (Achievement), Carole Artigiani M.S. '79 (Achievement), and Barbara Kolsun '71 (Service). Also on the docket are two surprise presentations.
A Gala at the United Nations. Enjoy cocktails, dinner, and dancing in the Delegates Dining Room on Saturday night. Take a tour of the U.N., have your photo shot in an old-time dime store photo booth, and renew acquaintances. Why not make your own Security Council resolution to get down and boogie a little?
