| | |
| | Why does the library catalog "timeout?" |
| | Some features of the library catalog can only be used when you login with your library barcode. For example, you must login when you check your patron record or use the "bookbag" feature. If you forget to logout when you have finished, the next user will be able to access your personal information. To try to prevent this, the system is set to timeout after a period of inactivity, currently three minutes.
| | |
| | How do I know what books I have checked out? |
| | You can log onto your library account through the library catalog. Click on the "login" button at the top of the search page.
| | |
| | What is the "bookbag" feature in the library catalog? |
| | The "bookbag" feature is like the shopping cart in Amazon.com. It allows you to save catalog records for later use. For example, you can use it to store the results while you do a series of searches so that you can print out one list at the end, or you can build up your list through the semester so that you can create a bibliography when you are completing your papers. Up to 1,000 titles can be stored in your "bookbag".
