Program Activities
As a student in the Program, you will enjoy a number of benefits. Your French student card will give you access to university libraries, student restaurants, and discounted rates on concerts, films, theater and travel tickets. The Sarah Lawrence Program also provides opportunities to attend exhibits, lectures and cultural events at institutions such as the Bibliothèque Nationale, the Opéra de Paris and the Comédie Française.
To further your understanding of French society, Sarah Lawrence regularly sponsors events and activities, such as cinema nights and guided tours of cultural and political institutions. Volunteer opportunities can be arranged for those who wish to work with a local organization. To bring you into closer contact with young Parisians, the Program offers many opportunities to meet French students through dinners, coffee hours and linguistic partnerships. Daytrips and excursions in Paris and the French provinces are organized throughout the year.
