Each student selects three courses from the wide course offerings in the Humanities at the University of Catania Facolta di Lettere e Filosofia, including such subjects as Italian literature, Comparative Literature, History of Cinema, Medieval History, History of Philosophy, Music and Drama courses. Students with an interest in music performance are also encouraged to apply to the Catania program. Further information can be found here.
In weekly tutorial sessions, required of each course, students meet one-on-one with a faculty member or a doctoral candidate. Tutorials provide an opportunity to discuss the weekly lecture topics in greater depth and help in preparing for end-of-semester exams.
Students enjoy all the rights and privileges of a student at the University of Catania. They have access to all University facilities, including the student dining hall, libraries, and computer and sports facilities. Students are expected to exhibit a high level of independence and assimilation to University life.
