London Theatre Immersion and Student Life

Students performing in Elektra, Fall 2007

Housing

Students will be placed in apartments located within a 20-30 minute walk from Gloucester Gate. The apartments include fully furnished kitchens where students can prepare their meals. Students will be housed in double rooms.

Lectures and Trips

The London theatre has established itself as the principal focal point for drama in the English-speaking world. Nowhere else can there be found such a diversity of plays or such a range of talent. The resources of London are therefore central to students' experience in The London Theatre Program. Attendance at performances is an integral part of the program. Master classes and talks with guest artists from the theatre world are arranged throughout each semester.

Insurance

All students must be covered by medical insurance while abroad. Students not insured by a family policy may purchase a plan.

Books and Plays

Books are provided for all acting classes. BADA has its own library from which students may loan out books. The Library has computers for writing papers and internet access during office hours.

On London

"In the year I have been at BADA I have worked with professional actors and experienced a culture completely appreciative of the theatre. Most importantly, I have had an experience unavailable in the USA. BADA is intense but has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life."
