Exchange Programs
Reed College Exchange Program
In 1994, Sarah Lawrence inaugurated an exchange program with Reed College in Portland, Oregon. This program enables Sarah Lawrence and Reed students to study on one another's campus for an academic semester or year. Students pay tuition to their home institution, and all financial aid grants and loans are applied to those fees. (Students must live and board on campus, and are responsible for all room and board charges.)
In order to qualify for the exchange program with Reed, students must have strong academic records and have completed the first and sophomore years. Qualified students also have the opportunity to participate in any one of either college's study-abroad programs. Students who have transferred into Sarah Lawrence College with a maximum of 60 credits are not eligible to study in the Reed College Exchange Program. Information on Reed's study-abroad programs can be found on its Web site. Sarah Lawrence students should contact Prema Samuel, Director of International Programs, for further information.
