The five-week filmmaking intensive classes are held during the day Monday through Saturday with some evening classes. For the three-week day courses, classes are held during the day Monday through Friday only.
Room & Board
Students in the full-day courses are eligible to live on campus. Each student will be assigned to a single bedroom and each building also has a common living area. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Students will have $20/day allotted on their Student ID cards to purchase food at the Ruth Leff Siegel Center. Participants should expect to pay approximately $5/breakfast, $7/lunch, and $8/dinner. The Siegel Center offers an assortment of food choices, including organic fruits and vegetables, sandwiches and salads, grilled items such as hamburgers and chicken, as well as soup, entrees, and a full range of beverages. Vegan and vegetarian options are always available.
Finally, residential students will enjoy evening and weekend programs and trips coordinated and run by a staff of Residential Counselors living on campus. Evening programs will include community building activities, film viewings, karaoke nights, and other social events. Weekend trips into the City as well as the surrounding area will include visits to museums, parks, concerts, and New York City neighborhood visits (Chinatown, Greenwich Village, Harlem, Lincoln Center, Little Italy, Times Square, etc.).
