Links and Resources
These days there are so many advocacy Web sites offering so much information that finding the patient or health advocacy group or resource you want might be overwhelming. Links on the Health Advocacy Graduate Program site are organized to help you make some sense of the many resources available.
Advocacy Organizations—General and Categorical
These links will take you to advocacy groups organized either to serve a very broad—or even universal—population, or to serve particular sectors of the population (for example, the elderly or the disabled). This list also incluldes organizations that provide health advocacy related to particular health topics, for example health insurance or hospice care.
Advocacy Organizations—Specific Medical or Health Conditions
These links will take you to health advocacy groups or associations organized around a particular disease or health condition. These are arranged alphabetically by the name of the organization, so if you are looking for a particular disease, you should do a search for that disease. To search, press the CTRL and F keys on your keyboard simultaneously (PC) or press the command (apple) and F keys simultaneously (Mac).
Advocacy-Related Resources
These links are helpful to advocates looking for particular resources (for example, from government sources).
