Happy Hour ReadingsGraduate writers come together to read their own works-in-progress at the bi-monthly Happy Hour in the Slonim House living room, a casual "coffeehouse" atmosphere where refreshments are shared while students read.
A few days prior to commencement, graduating writers participate in an all-day celebration on campus to share refreshments, softball and visiting with peers and faculty. For the main event, writers from the graduating class read from their culminating body of work in a formal setting. Families, friends and writing program peers are invited to attend the audience of the graduate thesis readings.
The Sarah Lawrence Summer Writing Seminars draw participants from all over the country for an intensive week of workshops, talks, conferences and readings with nationally known writers and Sarah Lawrence faculty members.
