Through the Community Writers Program, Sarah Lawrence graduate writing students teach workshops, tutor or assist a writer-in-residence in the classroom. In any given year we have between a quarter to a third of our student body teaching in the community. Support and training for writers in the Community Writers Program have included a monthly practicum and a series of workshops throughout the academic year. Students also have access to the Teaching Resource Center, an extensive collection of books related to teaching writing. Below is a list of placements the Community Writers Program has offered.
