Graduate Studies in Dance

The Master of Fine Arts program in Dance is a two-year program designed to integrate creative and technical studies. Students develop skills in performance, choreography, teaching, and writing in order to pursue a professional career in dance.

The study of dance at Sarah Lawrence is highly personal and expansive. In small seminars and classes, and with guidance from the College's exceptional faculty, students here examine the discipline from multiple perspectives.

Dance Outreach Program

As part of the Sarah Lawrence College Dance Outreach Program, 14 dance students participated in a two-week residency teaching sections of Trisha Brown's "Line Up" (1976) to fourth- through sixth-graders at the Enrico Fermi School for the Performing Arts in Yonkers.
