Foundation and Corporate Support
Foundations and corporations are an important source of support for many College initiatives. In recent years, Sarah Lawrence has received consistent, generous support from some of the most prestigious and demanding foundations in the country: the George I. Alden Trust, the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, the Booth Ferris Foundation, the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation, the Henry Luce Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Their grants have provided invaluable support in areas of our highest priority: faculty development, technology and curriculum development, and building and renovation projects.
The Office of Foundation and Corporate Relations is responsible for identifying, researching, cultivating and soliciting foundations and corporations. The first priority is to raise funds to build the endowment and to support current programs. The second priority is to support approved new projects that could not be undertaken without grant funds. The office also assists individual faculty members and College program directors in their grant-seeking and grant administration.
During our last campaign, foundation and corporate support exceeded $10.5 million, or 13 percent of the $81 million raised. View a list of donors from foundations and corporations during the last campaign, 1999-2004»
