Postgraduate studies as a Revson Fellow at Columbia University School of the Arts, Graduate Film Division, and the Columbia University Digital Media Center. His two-part documentary series on the parallel lives of African American and black South African young people in post-apartheid South Africa and post-9/11 America was broadcast on South African Broadcasting Corporation TV (SABC) and PBS and screened at festivals in the United States, as well as internationally. Concurrent with his own work, he has taught at New York University, Pratt Institute, City College, and Hunter College, all in New York City. He was awarded artist fellowships in film and video by the New York Foundation for the Arts and honored by the Black Filmmaker's Hall of Fame for his narrative short, Deft Changes. SLC, 2007—
