Joanna Smith Rakoff: B.A. Oberlin College, M.A. University College, London, M.F.A., Columbia University. Author of the novel A Fortunate Age and the forthcoming memoir My Salinger Year. Essays and reviews in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Slate, Salon, Vogue, Post Road, and many others. Poetry in The Paris Review, Western Humanities Review, The Kenyon Review, and others. Recipient of the 2010 Goldberg Prize for Fiction from Emerging Jewish Writers, as well as fellowships from MacDowell, Breadloaf and PEN. Teaches at Columbia University and Brooklyn College.
