Dissertation, “The Convent Plays of the French Revolution,” studies theatrical representations of sacred feminine space in relation to republican gender ideology and the development of revolutionary drama. Research interests include women and authorship, literary experiments, and the interplay of social practices with changing forms of oral and written communication.
