Post-B.A. Studies
Post-B.A. Studies
Sarah Lawrence College offers a Post-B.A. program through the Center for Continuing Education for college and university graduates who need specific college course work to qualify for graduate school, who want to explore an area of interest in anticipation of entering graduate school or who simply seek the enrichment of serious study in the liberal arts.
Post-B.A. students have access to the entire Sarah Lawrence undergraduate curriculum and participate fully in the seminar/conference system that is the hallmark of Sarah Lawrence's pedagogy. Post-B.A.s earn the same undergraduate credit whether they take courses on campus or in Wrexham, home of the Center for Continuing Education. Resources available to Post-B.A. students include the distinguished and committed Sarah Lawrence faculty and the College's active and well-organized Career Counseling Center, which uses the solid reputation of the College and its New York-area alumnae/i network to build an impressive array of opportunities for all Sarah Lawrence students.
Applicants for admission to the Post-B.A. program are accepted year-round. Once admitted, Post-B.A. students may begin study at the start of any term. For current tuition information, or to schedule an appointment to discuss your Post-B.A. options, call the College at (914) 395-2205, or e-mail us at cce@sarahlawrence.edu. Information sessions are held periodically so Post-B.A. candidates can meet other adults who are considering a return to school and/or a higher degree. These sessions allow potential applicants to learn more about the Center, see the Sarah Lawrence campus and meet other adults who are considering making changes in their lives.
Auditing
Post-BA students have the option of auditing classes with the permission of the instructor. Auditors are expected to complete all readings and seminar assignments, but they do not work on conference projects or have one-to-one conferences with professors. The tuition is equivalent to the cost of one undergraduate credit plus required fees.
