David Donnelly, Director of Continuing Education and Special Programs
David Donnelly received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Communications from the University of Massachusetts and his B.A. in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Maryland. He has served as Dean of the College for Graduate Studies at Chatham University, as Dean and Professor of Communication at Quinnipiac University, and as Associate Professor at the University of Houston. His broad background in higher education includes program development, strategic planning, and adult education. He is also a media educator and has served as a media consultant for numerous corporations and organizations. Donnelly has produced programming for PBS stations, contributed to eight books on the media and published in numerous scholarly and popular press publications.
Katrina Brown received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Chinese Language and East Asian Studies and is working towards her M.A. in Women’s History here at Sarah Lawrence College. Previous to the Center for Continuing Education, Katrina worked in higher education administrative support in the Office of Graduate Studies at Sarah Lawrence and the Center for East Asian Studies at UW-Madison. She is doing her current academic research on Early Imperial Chinese women’s education texts, and has previously researched lesbian community formation in China and transgender history of the U.S.
