The Fund for Sarah Lawrence
We made it!
The Fund for Sarah Lawrence met its goal and raised a record $3,100,406 in 2007-2008. A great big “thank you!” goes out to the 3,300+ alumnae/i , parents, and friends—as well as graduating seniors—whose gifts had a direct, immediate, and powerful effect on the Sarah Lawrence experience.
Special thanks for the pace-setting support provided by Associate-level leadership donors and by members of the Ruth Wilmot Anderson '29 Society, a core group of loyal donors who have given consecutively to the Fund for five years or more.
Independent Minds Working Together.
Sarah Lawrence College has been consistent in its mission and clear in its focus since its founding in 1926 as a bold experiment in education. A Sarah Lawrence education remains all about connections—between students and faculty, ideas and coursework, theory and practice. There is truly no substitute for the Sarah Lawrence approach.
Unlike other schools, Sarah Lawrence was founded on a dream, not an endowment. Here, each and every gift makes a tangible difference and is used immediately to benefit the faculty, students, and academic programs of the College.
Gifts to the Fund provide financial aid, faculty salaries, library and equipment purchases, and other costs of educating today's students.
Through the Fund for Sarah Lawrence, alumnae/i, parents and friends provide a legacy of support.
