Wright
Makes Time 100

Suzanne
W. Wright '98 has been named to Time magazine's list of the 100
Most Influential People. Tom Brokaw wrote the article praising her and her husband, Bob, for their autism advocacy organization, Autism Speaks.
When
her grandson was diagnosed with autism, Wright says, her family's heartbreak "grew
into outrage at the veil of silence surrounding this devastating
disorder." She
reflects on how her SLC education prepared her for this important
work in
this article.

Correction
In our May issue, we listed the wrong graduation year for Jessamyn
Hope. She graduated from the MFA program in 2003, not 1993. We regret the error.

Dream
Jobs in the Real World
The world of work can be an intimidating place, especially if you've never been before. SLC students take their career anxieties on a field trip, hear the voice of a penguin, meet animation producer Josh
Selig '86 and music writer Jim Farber '79, and learn that, if you play your cards right, life after college doesn't have to involve cubicles or counter service. Read the article
