Gift Celebrates Dance at SLC
In
honor of her 65th Reunion, the family of Barbara Bray Ketchum
'43 has made a generous gift to the College to establish
an artist-in-residency fund. Named in her honor, the fund will bring
creative, inspirational dancers and choreographers to campus to work

reading and reception for the launch of the 2008 edition of Lumina,
Sarah Lawrence's literary journal, on Sunday, April 27. This event
is part of the SLC
Poetry Festival, the largest, free-est event of its kind in New
York.

Gentile MFA '07 is teaching a workshop called "Pathways
of the Heart: The Essence of Sufism" at the New York Open Center
on April 11.
Frozen
River, a feature film by Courtney
Hunt '86, was named Best Drama at the Sundance Film
Festival. It's about a struggling single mother in upstate New
York who teams up with a Mohawk woman to smuggle people across
the Canadian border.
Adam
Feder '91 released his second CD, Shul Band Instrumental,
which mixes klezmer, folk, the Grateful Dead, and traditional
Judaic melodies.
This
summer, Monica
Franciscus '85 will be teaching landscape painting workshops
in the south of France.
