Open House & Evaluations

The aquatics team at Sarah Lawrence College will have an evaluation of swimmers to determine placement the week of Monday, January 12. More information will be sent to parents after they have registered.

Fees & Registration

There is no deadline to register for a class, but advance registration is preferred.

Classes may be canceled by Sarah Lawrence College up to two days prior to the start of the class or lecture. When the College cancels a class or lecture, students will be notified and will receive a full refund. Student cancellations must be received at least two days before the start of the class for a full refund.

Payment must be made before the start of the course.

Children’s Swim Lessons Discounts

Choose one of the following (one discount per family per semester):

• Sibling Discount: First child pays full price, each additional child receives 10% off the session price.
• Additional Class Discount: If a child takes both a Tuesday and a Saturday class in the same session, they will receive a 15% discount on the Saturday class.

Classroom Information

Classes are held on campus at Sarah Lawrence College in the Campbell Sports Center. Parents are responsible for their children in the locker rooms and then a Water Safety Instructor will lead the students to the pool deck from the locker rooms. Parents are invited to watch the lesson from the lower lounge, but will not be allowed on the deck.

Registration confirmations are sent via e-mail (if provided) or through regular mail. The confirmation lists dates, times, class location, and instructor as well as useful information on parking.

Applying by Mail or Fax

To register by mail, download, complete, and return the registration form with a check or money order (payable to Sarah Lawrence College) at least one week before the start of the class to the Office of Special Programs at the address below. If registering more than one child for the Children’s Swimming Lessons, please use a separate form for each child.
