The Center for Continuing Education
For more than 40 years, the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) has been giving adults the opportunity to complete their undergraduate degree, pursue lifelong learning ambitions, or prepare for advanced study within the framework of a highly personalized educational approach.
- B.A. Program for Adults
For men and women who wish to return to school and earn a Sarah Lawrence degree. - Post-B.A. Studies
A program for college and university graduates who need specific college course work to qualify for graduate school, who want to explore an area of interest in anticipation of entering graduate school or who simply seek the enrichment of serious study in the liberal arts.
The Writing Institute
The Writing Institute offers workshops (11-week sessions) in the spring and in the fall designed give adults the opportunity to improve their writing skills and become part of a community of writers. Learn more
Non-Credit Programs
A full catalog of special programs are offered in the spring, summer, and fall to appeal to a wide range of interests, including music, dance, filmmaking, fitness, and culinary arts.
The Child Development Institute
Through its outreach to teachers, parents, administrators and child development professionals, The Child Development Institute communicates Sarah Lawrence's progressive education ideology and provides a forum for the discussion of issues in education. Public Health Genetics/Genomics Certificate Program

In addition, the Sarah Lawrence College Graduate Writing Program and Bank Street College of Education have collaborated to offer a three-summer graduate degree program in Leadership in the Arts, which leads to a Masters of Science in Education. This program is designed to meet the needs of educators and has two principal components: the leadership portion provides the knowledge and skills needed for the role of supervisor and administrator in diverse school and community settings, the workshop portion helps students refine and develop writing skills.
