Introduction: Undergraduate Aid for New Students

All Sarah Lawrence students are welcome to apply for financial aid administered by the College. Applicants who are U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents are required to first apply for all external aid sources, including state and federal funds. International Students may also apply, but federal and state resources are not available to non U.S. citizens.

The College determines financial aid awards to incoming students on the basis of need, motivation for learning, the potential for active participation in the campus community. Returning students who have not previously received aid from the College will be considered after the needs of continuing recipients have been met.

Net Price Calculator

Sarah Lawrence College has partnered with the College Board to offer a Net Price Calculator—a tool that will help you determine just how affordable SLC may be for your family. The calculator will present you a sample of the kind of award you may receive once you are admitted and have applied for financial aid. The average financial aid package for deserving students entering in the fall of 2013 was $38,521, and 78% of students receive financial aid, so it's worth a few minutes to see what might be in store for you!
