College Leadership
Since its founding, Sarah Lawrence has been served by ten presidents, all visionary educators, administrators, and advocates of liberal arts education. Today, President Karen R. Lawrence, along with the College's Board of Trustees and senior leadership team of deans and vice presidents, are charged with preserving and progressing Sarah Lawrence's unique vision and character. To this end, President Lawrence launched and continues to steward a comprehensive strategic planning process that will provide a blueprint for the College during the next five to seven years. In addition, a main focus since her arrival has been on the building of student community and creating a strong and involved presidential presence on campus.
