Please note: The Orientation Week schedule is still being perfected; check this site often for updates. A final, printed version of the week's events will be given to you when you arrive on campus. Until then, some things are subject to change.
11:50 a.m., in front of the SLC Post Office
The Queer Apple
Lace up your shoes and start a’walkin’ with SLC ACTS UP, an SLC club devoted to LGBT activism, as they tour historical and just plain fun spots in New York City. Possible locations include the Oscar Wilde Bookstore, the LGBT Community Center and the Stonewall Bistro. All students welcome. Train fare will be paid for the first 12 students to sign up in Student Affairs in Bates (Subway fare not included). Trip will return around 7ish.
10 p.m., Reisinger Concert Hall
Orientation Cabaret
Yet another Orientation tradition and a highlight of Opening Week! A showcase for SLC student talent! Reisinger fills up fast so you’ll want to be on time for this awesome event. Sign up to perform in the Student Affairs Office in Bates. (Sponsored by the Programming Board)
