Family Resource Center
Families start here; pick up your schedule, and learn about how to get involved at SLC. Refreshments will be available. Resources include:

• College Resources
• Health Services
• A representative from University Health Plans (the carrier for the SLC Health Insurance)
• Representatives from local banks to help open up new accounts

10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Westlands Front Terrace

Tours of the college for families, leaving every half hour.

11 a.m., Reisinger Concert Hall

Parent Meeting.
Allen Green, Dean of Studies and Student Life, and Mary Spellman, Dean of Student Affairs, will host, with staff from the Dean of Studies and Student Affairs offices.

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Bates Cafeteria

Lunch for new students and their families.

12 - 2 p.m., Westlands 104

Lunch for International Students and Families.
Informal luncheon for international students (non-US and US citizens from abroad) and their families. Please come by and meet the SLC international student advisers.

1:30 p.m., Library Pillow Room

Transfer Students Meeting. Connect with each other and learn about other events for transfers this week.

2 p.m., Reisinger Concert Hall

Parent Meeting. Allen Green, Dean of Studies and Student Life and Mary Spellman, Dean of Student Affairs, will host, with staff from the Dean of Studies and Student Affairs offices.  This is a repeat of the 11 a.m. session. 

2 p.m., Residential Areas

Resident Advisor Meetings. New students meet with their RAs in residential areas (please, no family members at this meeting).

2 p.m., MacCracken Meeting Room

Day Students Meeting. Come meet your commuting peers and learn how to take advantage of campus life.

3:30 p.m., Orientation Tent (Westlands South Lawn)

Welcome address by President Karen Lawrence, Pauline Watts, Dean of the College; Allen Green, Dean of Studies and Student Life; and Stephen Schierloh, Acting Dean of Admission. 

4:30 - 5:30 p.m., President’s House

Reception. An opportunity to meet the First Year Dons and enjoy some light refreshments.  

Family Farewell - Take a moment to say goodbye as the remaining events are for students only.

5:30 - 7 p.m., Bates Cafeteria

Dinner for students only. Meal plan begins.

7 p.m., Residential Areas
