Any student not on the meal plan will have their dinner paid for by the College. Clubs and organizations who wish to have a table at Club Fair should see Jennifer Montalbano, director of student activities, in Bates by Thursday, September 6. Reverend Billy Talen
We’re proud to welcome the “Church of Stop Shopping,” an anti-consumerist communion devoted to explaining how consumerism corrupts us - and how “not-buying” is our salvation. This entertaining blend of street theater, political grandstanding, and performance art will surely wow you as Reverend Billy and his choir preach about everything from the commercialization of Christmas to the over-consumption in American culture to the business practices of large corporations. Reverend Billy is the focus of the upcoming film What Would Jesus Buy?, produced by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock.
(Sponsored by Student Senate)
9 p.m., Film Viewing Room
Remember how catty people could be in high school? Be thankful you are done with that when you watch the teen witches of The Craft use magic to seek revenge.
